The Little Band was originally formed in the late seventies as a three piece band. Over the years, there have been many line-up changes but the original spirit of the band has always been retained. The current line-up has been together for about three years. In that time they have become one of the busiest ceilidh bands in the East Midlands, playing for parties, fund raisers and wedding receptions.
MAX BRADLEY: FIDDLE Max has been with the band since it began over 20 years ago and is the only original member still with the band. Although he began playing classical violin, he has become an expert in traditional fiddle styles. His solid, driving style is great for dancing or listening to.
STEVE ROBERTSON: GUITAR Steve has been with the band for about three years. His background was originally as a rock guitarist and singer-songwriter. He has a long standing interest in folk and roots music. Steve has been involved with various ceilidh bands around Lincolnshire for many years. His innovative rhythmic style drives the band along.
SUE HERON: FLUTE Sue is an extremely versatile musician, who as well as playing traditional folk music with the band, is actively involved with classical music. She teaches music professionally. Her use of soaring harmony helps to add great interest and excitement to the band's music.
LIAM ROBINSON: ACCORDEON "The boy" has been with the band for about three years, although he has been involved with various ceilidh bands for over six years. He has a deep interest in many European and American styles of folk and roots music. His smooth innovative playing style adds weight to the band's sound.
